Richard Burton and Hugh Grant are among the many actors to have studied at Oxford and the University has produced 120 Olympic gold medallists.

Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland while teaching mathematics at the University; J.R.R.Tolkien, author of Lord of the Rings, studied here and went on to become Merton Professor of Language and Literature.

The location of this Oxford hotel is excellent, you couldn't be any more central. Staff were very friendly. The room was very comfortable, mini bar was well stocked and breakfast the following morning was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
